International Women’s Day, a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s achievements. It is also a time to raise awareness of the progress made towards gender equality and the work that remains to providing opportunity to women and girls around the world.
Voices from across the McMaster community have shared their experiences challenging the status quo, who inspires them to #BreakTheBias and how we can further remove barriers for women.
Two of Facility Services team members participated in McMaster’s #BreakTheBias campaign, including Jennie Rubio, Operating Engineer 3rd Class, and Jocelynne Finney, Operating Engineer 4th Class. sharing their thoughts on ways our society can create a culture that supports women and ways that the Facility Services team has helped women succeed.
